Busy Weekend

The Boys and I had a very busy, cultural, weekend. On Saturday, we joined Auntie Kim and Ben to see Seussical at the Napa Valley College. For what it was, Kim and I thought the production was pretty good. The boys loved it, giving it two thumbs up. Ben gave it 10 thumbs down, but I think that was due to coolness factor more than anything else. He is almost 8 after all.

On Sunday, Euan and the boys joined me on a trip to the DeYoung Museum. At first I wasn't thrilled to have my alone time disrupted but in the end I glad they came. The boys (and Euan too, I think) really enjoyed it.

They particularly liked the Art of the Americas section...

The sculpture garden...

And for some reason, they thought every statue was God and needed to be prayed to...

We also saw the Andy Warhol and Yves St. Laurent exhibits. The boys really like the psychedelic room in the Warhol exhibit (it had a disco ball). And they both took home coloring books of Yves St. Laurent's designs which they got right to work on when we got home.

It was a very nice weekend, indeed.

Up close and personal

For my birthday, Euan got me a new lens that let's us get up close and personal without getting up close and personal. These shots are from Euan. Can't wait to try it out.

Golf date at Papa's and J's

The weekend before this last one, we headed up to the wine country to Papa & J's rental property to help them set up for a garage sale. All the cousins were there. The weather was lovely. The setting on the golf course was relaxing (well as relaxing as it can be with six little kids running around).

Rocking out to Fleetwood Mac...

After we reigned them in from the actual golf course, they tested there skills on the back lawn...

Train Town

On Saturday, Euan, they boys and I took a trip up to Train Town in Sonoma with our good friends. Conner was so excited, he fell before the first train ride of they day and scraped up his knees.

This is us being left at the station...

Aidan had a good time though...

Though he still finds the tunnels a little scary (with K & S)...
Aidan also joined K & S for his first ride on a Ferris Wheel....

While Conner (still feeling sensitive from the fall) and I waited below...

Finally, Euan got him to go on and he loved it!
